Well, I've got new shoes now. Now, for the first time in months, none of the articles of my clothing have more than the requisite number of holes. It's a nice change.
I bought the shoes in Rocky as well. Mom and Dad and I went to the co-op to check out the selection. While I was looking, I found the last pair of the type that I wore to Europe. Turns out, I really got my money's worth. I had been slightly annoyed because I figure that a pair of shoes should last more than six months without becoming a smoking heap. Comparing the soles on mine with what they were before I left though, I realized exactly how much walking I had done. In places I even wore right through the soles!
Happy New Year, by the way. I hope everyone had a lovely New Year Eve. I had a quiet one, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. I stayed home and watched TV with mom, and then when she went to bed Dad and I stayed up and had appetizers. Man, what a great life I lead!!
I spent all day yesterday cleaning out my closet, which turned into a day long trip down memory lane. I had kept everything from high school, including all my old notes. Most of that is now consigned to the recycling bin, I'm happy to say. I found lots of pictures, and lots of stuff that I thought I had lost forever. I managed to reduce a closet packed with boxes to one quite small box. Mom was very happy.
