Man, I can't believe how little I've been updating this thing. No more! I'm going to make an effort to keep this thing current.
I found a new favorite show. It's called "The Rig" and it's a documentary about people working on rigs in Alberta. It's pretty telling that I've seen three or four episodes, and even though they follow the same rig around, it's mostly different guys every time. When I was working at the plant for the summers I got to see one side of the oil industry, but this is definitely something different. This one tonight is all about how these guys work all the time, are never home, etc. They all justify by saying how much money they're making- not really the greatest argument if you ask me.
I finally got back to floor hockey tonight. It had been a few weeks, since they kept scheduling me for Thursdays at the restaurant. I finally had to tell them that I just wasn't available any more for Thursdays. I want to work, and don't mind working the odd Thursday, but I missed floor hockey! I celebrated my return with a personal best four goals. We had a new guy in one of the nets- a really experienced goalie, instead one of us just pulling on the pads. It was a good game.
