Hooray for the weekend! This one will be a proper weekend as well (ie two days off) rather than having to work tomorrow night. It's the roommate's thirtieth birthday next week, and his parents have a time share up island, so we're going up tomorrow. I'm always in favour of things that give me the chance to see a little more of the island. For having lived hear for nearly six years (could it be that long?) I've seen disappointingly little. Perhaps if certain world travelling siblings would come visit..... or any siblings. Or other relatives. Or anyone, really.
Anyway. Work continues. I was watching 'Scrubs' tonight, and prominently featured was the "Murse" or Male Nurse. Then they compared it to the "Mecretary".... yep, that's me. Somewhat embarrassing mistake I noticed in the leaflet this week (after I printed all 500) that in the 'week ahead' section' I labeled next Sunday as the Fourth in Lent, when it's actually the fifth. I'll get a couple calls about that on Monday, for sure.
Has anyone ever heard of Billy Bragg? He's this crazy socialist/activist/labour singer from England. I certainly don't agree with most of it, but I still love it for some reason. My friend Logan, a confirmed socialist loaned me a CD, and to both our surprise, I really took to it. I think it's the sort of stuff that certain sisters and perhaps certain aunts may like, if that sheds any light.
