Things are well in lotus land. This general sense of well being is largely based on the Canucks pulling it together last night long enough for the win. After the dismal showing my the Oilers, my hopes are pinned to Vancouver. They're playing the Ducks at the moment, which is sort of annoying, because I play floor hockey with a rabid Ducks fan- the kind of guy who can't let a win go by with out over gloating to intensely irritating levels.
In other news, I got a haircut today. It was starting to get a little out of control. Nearly a year since I last got it cut, which was June 5, the day before we left for Europe. A friend of mine is an apprenticing hairdresser, so she gives cheap haircuts, if you don't mind the fact that she's learning. Having grown up with dad's haircuts, I was confidant that my head could withstand the worst she could throw at me. It was a bit of an odd experience, since it started with a shampoo - I've never had that done before. Then all through out she would keep stopping, and getting advice- her supervisor referred to me as 'the model'. Slightly dehumanizing, but the haircut turned out well.
