I love i-tunes. I realize that I'm not exactly on the cutting edge or anything here, but as a recent convert, I'm pretty happy. I used to download music, but when you like music that tends to be a little less mainstream, it gets harder to find the songs you want. i-tunes though? They have everything I could ever want. I'm downloading a Fred Eaglesmith album right now- ten bucks for 46 songs! Fantastic!

I'm also watching the Republican debate on CNN. It's quite interesting, I caught most of the Democrat one as well, and you can tell the difference in tone. Some of the questions are the same (should English be the offical language?) but the Republicans seem to get more questions based on faith, ie what do you believe? One poor sap even had to dance the tightline between Creation and Evolution. He opted for the safe route (I don't know, but I believe God was in charge) which may not help him much when it comes to the really crazy fundamentalist Christians in the States. I mean, I'm a Christian, and even fairly conservative most of the time, but I would never vote for a political leader based on whether they agreed with my interpretation of ancient Hebrew literature.
I spent the weekend, or at least all day Saturday at the special Synod for the diocese. They were discussion the only question in Anglicanism at the moment. It was quite interesting, in the end the Synod voted with a two thirds majority in both clergy and laity to send a memo to General Synod saying we should approve the blessing of same sex marriges at this time. Most people were suprised that the vote went that way, and there was some interesting debate on the floor. I can't wait to see what General Synod does.....
