2007-08-06 - 10:56 p.m. It's been way, way too long since I did a travel entry on this blog. Thankfully, the drought has ended, and I'm back on the road where I belong. This entry comes to you via San Francisco, where I've been since yesterday. Not much time left on this (too expensive) internet, so I'll be brief, and do a proper update in the future. We left Victoria on Saturday, on the 7:30 Coho ferry. The Coho is a ferry that runs from down town Victoria to Port Angeles, Washington. It's very convienient, since it ends up cutting quite a bit of distance off a trip, providing that you're not going to Seattle. The ferry takes about two hours, so it was 9:30 when we got off. Customs was no worries, and we were off. The plan called for us to drive all night and the next day until we got to San Francisco. I'm not much for driving at the best of times, tending to fall asleep at the wheel, so I took the first turn driving. The first hour was pretty rough- it was dark, and the road was really windy and hilly, so we didn't make very good time. After that we hit the interstate though, and that was better. The internet time is nearly out, so I'll have to finish this later!
