When I was home at Christmas, Tim insisted that I take the first two seasons of the TV show "Lost" back to Victoria with me. I'd never seen it, althought I had heard that it was good. I started watching it on New Year's eve with Jesse and Mark, and now I've gotten pretty obsesed with it. I powered through the first two seasons, and now I've rented the third. I think the fourth and final comes out TV later this month. I can't belive how much this show is getting into my head. It's really good- a mystery type show, with lots of twists and turns. I'm even dreaming about it.
I'd forgotten that January is the birthday month in January. I went to two birthday parties this weekend, and have more lined up for next. It's always a bit of a bummer coming back from home after Christmas, so it's nice to have lots to do. One of the parties was a dress up affair at one of the fancier restaurants in Victoria, the Vista 18. I'd never heard of it, which doesn't mean much, but it was great. It's on top of one of the hotels downtown, and the view looks like it would be just amazing. We were there at night, and the lights of the city were laid out - just gorgeous. Of course, from my chair, I could see the towers of the Cathedral, so I don't know how much that helped me relax. Fun night though, and Vista 18 had a good scotch list, with a few that I could afford.
