Oh, sorry. I was just trying to get the worst of the dust off this old blog of mine. Yes, I'm back, on the blog I've not posted on since January. Now that I'm heading back to school, and some people actually seem interested in what was going on, I thought this would be a good way to stay in touch. And, I missed it, a little, altough obvously not enough to update before today.
It was the second to last day at work today (but who's counting, right?) They had a really nice lunch for me. Pretty overwhelming, all these people gathered there for me. I guess I shouldn't let it go to my head. Logan said some nice things, and Janet said some nice things, then I said some nice things, but not as well as Janet or Logan did. There was a cake, which was carrot, which is my favorite. The kitchen ministry at the Cathedral are really good at lunches and receptions, and they did themselves proud this time around.
It was the last night of floor hockey tonight, which meant more good byes. It also meant exhaustion, since this is the first Thursday we've been able to play since the end of May. My lack of regular exercise caught up with me, about ten minutes in. I caught a second wind though, and managed to pop in a couple goals. I think we all rusted up over the summer, so although I was pretty terrible, so was everyone else.
Gonna be a busy weekend, packing, cleaning, etc. My friend Kim is moving on Saturday, and I've agreed to help her, since she is letting me use her truck to move to Vancouver.
